Kings Norton and District u3a
Welcome to the U3A website for Kings Norton and neighbouring districts of Birmingham including Selly Oak, Bournville, Cotteridge and Northfield.
The Kings Norton and District U3A was founded in 2017 and we continue to welcome new members.
We have General Meetings on the 1st Tuesday of each month, except August, at 2pm. For more details about the speakers, public transport and parking see Events

The u3a is a national and international learning organisation consisting of local u3a groups which are managed and organised by the members themselves. All u3a groups are members of the Third Age Trust which provides administrative and educational support. Member receive the national magazine, U3A Matters, quarterly.
Members are normally retired or semi-retired from paid employment and learning is self directed and there are no exams or qualifications to be gained.

Activities
We offer Interest groups across a broad spectrum of subjects which vary in both type and size. These are organised by members with the emphasis on learning through their own efforts.
New interest groups can also be started at any time as members identify a particular interest or need.
Through the network of local u3as members have access to over 100 different interest groups.
Membership
Membership is £23 for 2025/26, Members of other U3As pay £21.00, and entitles members to attend the General Meetings and all or any of the groups they wish to join. Some Interest Groups may charge nominal amounts to cover room hire, travel costs or refreshments.
Non-members can attend one of our monthly General Meetings for up to two occasions in the year. If you wish to attend on a third time you will be asked to join u3a. Interest Groups are only open to members.
