New IT Clinics

The first two IT Clinic sessions are now complete and you certainly kept me busy. I will hopefully be organising more sessions in the coming months. Given the first two meetings the format has now becoming clear. A 30 miniute One to one session.

Example topics have been:

  • Conguring default search in a browser
  • Explaining how to use the bin and what happens to the files
  • Email app vs email in the browser
  • Removing unwanted news/weather/etc feeds of all sorts from windows, browsers Android and Iphones.
  • Explaining cloud storage
  • Configuring iphones and migrating contacts from an old phone

Just some examples.

Volunteers needed

We are currently looking for some help with the following:

We need a few current members to be available at the Monthly Meetings to 'Greet & Meet' new members.

It will be showing the new member how to get information on Group activities and also making sure they get their refreshments and a seat to listen to the Speaker.

We would like to welcome new members in a friendly manner so that the feel comfortable coming to our meetings. If you are interested , please contact Lorna Brown, the Membership Secretary to discuss it further.
