KN u3a Chair, Vicki Hone and KN u3a IG Coordinator, Pauline George, attended a Regional u3a session on Recruitment and Retention at Balsall Common on March 13 2024.
Jean Jackson (walking round) organised the event as part of her new Regional Representative role. It was a really useful and informative session. We hope we can implement some of the suggestions to aid our KN u3a Recruitment and Retention in the near future.

u3a Festival 24
The u3a movement is holding its first ever Festival in 2024, 18 - 20 July, where members will be running a wide variety of activities - talks, sporting events, musical entertainment and workshops which will make this u3a national festival something to remember.
How can I take part?
Venue
u3a Festival 24 will take place in the beautiful city of York over 3 days and will be held at the University.

Volunteers needed
We are currently looking for some help with the following:
We need a few current members to be available at the Monthly Meetings to 'Greet & Meet' new members.
It will be showing the new member how to get information on Group activities and also making sure they get their refreshments and a seat to listen to the Speaker.
We would like to welcome new members in a friendly manner so that the feel comfortable coming to our meetings. If you are interested , please contact Margaret Lusher, the Membership Secretary to discuss it further.
