When: Monthly on Tuesday afternoons 2:00 pm-3:45 pm
4th Tuesday
Venue: Bournville Quaker Meeting House

We are a small, friendly group and meet monthly. Some of us have wide knowledge and experience,
others are complete beginners, but we are all united in our passion for the detective work involved and
the personal stories that unfold.

We learn in an informal way and help each other to navigate both
available online and non-digitised resources

We meet in the afternoon of the 4th Tuesday of each month in the small hall at the Bournville Quaker meeting House. We enjoy a mix of talks by individual members about ancestors highlighting sources of information and exploration of topics with contributions from group members.  We are also able to access websites and share other resources, such as u3a research guides and publications. And over a cuppa we share our experiences and tips!

Recent topics we have explored as a group include: the 1921 census, 1939 National Register, occupations and apprenticeships, emigration and workhouses. We have also enjoyed talks by members about their ancestors, including those who were musical, disreputable or travelled afar, and the breaking down of those brickwalls!

Future topics are chosen by the group……….
